A Little More....

So I thought I would add a few more pics.
This was the airplane that Wyatt was riding in. Notice the rope. Like I said "Old School". It would go about 15 feet into the air. The "Pilot" pulled back on the stick and up it went, and that is where it stayed until the ride was over.
The other one is of him riding in one of those Viking boats that go back and forth. He thought that was pretty cool, although he did not like it when mom took him up there. Oh yea, nothing in this one to hold him into the seat. "Hang on little buddy!"
And last was the first discovery of the mud hole. You gotta love the mud hole!

Ok so tonight you are getting a twofer, (two for one, Lisa's post is below and should be read first) so I will add my two cents worth.
First off I know Lisa commented on it a while back, but that ammusment park in Bartlesville was way cool and way cheap. All the rides are "Old School", meaning that they were built in the 50's and will last forever with a little grease. Oh and who needs seat belts, if they fall out tuck and roll, tuck and roll!
That first picture is of Wyatt driving his first truck. On that night he also took his first plane ride. Now it was one that the kids riding could control how high they went and Wyatt was riding with the Red Barron. Talk about some nervous parents, Wyatt was strapped in with a rope that went from one side of the plane to the other, the only time it touched him was when he leaned forward to grab the controls. Lisa and I looked at each other and thought "what have we done?!?!?!?" Needless to say he loved it, and all the other rides as well. We (Wyatt) did not want to leave even though it was well past his bedtime.
The Last two pictures are of the splash park we visited this last weekend. You will notice that the two pics I put up do not show a splash park, but a swing and a mudhole. Those were the two things that Wyatt also enjoyed at the park. Almost as much as the water. He loves to swing and I was supprised that he would hang on well enough to swing in a normal swing (there was no kiddie swing). Somtimes when you swing you gotta swing with the big boys.
The mudhole was just to funny not to show. You know boys, give them a big splash park and all they want to do is play in the mudhole off to the side.
It was a great Fathers day weekend, very laid back and I was able to enjoy the company of my family, I wish they all could be like that.

Has it really been 3 weeks.........

I am sorry it has been three weeks since my last post. I wish I could say not alot going on, but you would know I was not telling the truth. Who does not have a lot going on when you have a 2 year old?!?!?? Wyatt is really starting to pick up a lot of things, most recently this " 2 year old syndrome". What is this all about, and please tell me we will make it through. It is so funny because for so long we wished for his words to come, and even though he only has a few, the one he has down pat is MOM. He loves to say it softly at first, and then it gets LOUDER and more demanding. Ms. Chris ( his teacher) said today that maybe he hears her 4 boys call her from upstairs, and when she is in the middle of something and can't instantly answer. I would agree that this is where he has learned the tone. But, for the most part it's funny, and at times embarrassing, like yesterday when I was at Wal Mart and he continued to call me by name with force, I felt like people were looking at me, like are you really going to let him talk to you that way. Oh, wait maybe that is what I would have thought before kids........ The recent pictures were taken this past weekend, we visited a splash pad on Saturday morning and then enjoyed McDonalds. This was Wyatt's first trip to McDonalds, and his first experience with Ketchup and I must say he did not really like either...... The french fries were really the only thing he enjoyed! On Sunday we took Justin to lunch at Abuelo's, this picture was of my two boys on the patio! I recently heard someone say that they should be in more pictures, or their kids might not believe they were ever at anything. I have realized that I live behind the lens, and I will do better to have Justin take more pictures. We hope everyone is having a great week, and I will try and do better to keep Wyatt's journal (this blog) updated more frequently.

Summer is officially at our house!!!!!

What a great weekend we had! We spent lots of time with Wyatt, and enjoying activities as a family. LEISURE...... Saturday morning after Justin mowed the grass we decided we would let Wyatt play in the water, Justin asked me to go get the sun block and when I came back this was the picture I saw. Justin said every boy should get to play like this! We covered Wyatt in Sun Block and let him play like this for a short while in the back yard. He was in H-E-A-V-E-N. He was not as excited about the sprinkler as he was the water table. As long as he had Dad he was Okay, he preferred observing from behind Dad's legs. We hope each of you are enjoying the start to your summer as well!
