Weekly update........

Wyatt was dedicated yesterday morning at Church. We had several special guests in attendance, my mom, my uncle, my brother, sister in law, and nephews( all of which drove in from Texas) Also, with our family was Samantha and her son Bryce. Kelly, Dan, and their son Alex. Amber, Erik, daughter Karter, and Karter's grandparents Sonny and Debbie!!!!!!!! Thank you all for coming and spending a special morning with us.......

Wyatt had a big weekend playing with cousins, and also we went to the Bixby Corn Festival and had some great corn. Justin shared his Indian taco with Wyatt, and I could not believe how much of it he ate. Wyatt, also wanted to walk everywhere yesterday with assistance. I think one of the next pictures that we post will be of Wyatt walking..... I do have a new picture to share so look for it to appear in the next day or so.

This week will bring lots of changes with my job situation so stay tuned......... And remember we are collecting garage sale items, all the proceeds benefit the orphanage Wyatt was in for the 1st year of his life. If you have anything to donate let me know, this week and next would be a great time for me to pick it up, and get it priced.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!!!!!!!!!!

A new week.......

As I sit at my desk this Monday morning I wonder what the week will bring, a week from today I will be finished with my work at VistaCare Tulsa, closing another chapter in our lives.

I am sorry I have not updated on Wyatt's world. Things have not changed much, he is crawling faster, babbling lots and lots more, and eating new varieties of food. He has also taken a few steps from one object to another, I think he will be walking within the month!

Wyatt will be dedicated at church on Sunday, in front of family and friends. So many people have faithfully prayed over his life, and the life of his parents. Thank you for your continued prayers.

Some of you have contacted me about picking up garage sale items, if you want me to get them out of your way, just let me know and I will be glad to pick them up. We are going to start pricing this week!

Have a great week everyone!!!!!!!!!

Trip to OKC.....

We had a great doctors visit today. Everything with Wyatt is coming along nicely....... We will have to patch Wyatt's eye for 2 hours a day, and also Wyatt will have to wear glasses. We have a follow up appointment in Oklahoma City for September!

But, I must say that health care and doctors can sometimes make a person feel overwhelmed. The doctor in Tulsa, and the doctor in Oklahoma City are seeing completely different things. I told Justin it is like one told us he has cancer, and the other says he does not. The doctor here told me at our initial appointment that Wyatt may never drive a car, and that the goal would be to mainstream him into the classroom with large print text. Can you image how I felt that day? But, today this doctor says No, and that Wyatt is a little guy with a little optic nerve. One eye sees within normal range, and one does not causing it to atrophy. So that is where the patch and glasses come in.

Wyatt is also feeling better, and we were initially going out of town with the Owens family, but have decided against it since Wyatt was sick earlier in the week. I would not want to be responsible for getting the triplets sick, we all know that when one gets sick the other two are right behind.

I will try and post some new pictures soon, and also I forgot to mention when we went to the Dr earlier in the week with Wyatt, he weighed 17.2 ozs. He had gained a pound in 3 weeks! Hopefully, it wasn't just that his diaper was full. We are going next week for shots, and I will take a weight at that time. Hopefully, we did not lose ground because we were sick. He did not eat well this week! I will be sure and give him Tylenol before going in for shots this time, I am a quick study!!!!!!!

Have a great weekend...

Wyatt makes an unplanned trip to the doctor......

Well we had our first unplanned trip to the doctor today. I left Wyatt with Emily this morning because I had some things at work that I had to deal with, and he had been fussy since yesterday afternoon, but he ate well and slept well last night. I told Emily he was teething, I even googled it to see if there was anything I could do to offer relief! I told Emily he had all the classic symptoms drooling, not eating, fussy. ( he is working on 4 teeth) I had not been gone long when she called me and said he was running a 102 fever, I called the doctor and we went in. He actually has a viral infection, and we are treating the fever with a fever reducing suppository. Wyatt will not take any medication by mouth, and we have tried it all kinds of ways...... Toby Owens was a life saver, she came tonight and rocked Wyatt, while his mommy cried. It is times like this I feel a million miles away from family!

Okay, I have to also let you all know that I said earlier that I was dealing with some things at work?!?!? Well, we found out this past week that we are loosing our jobs. First, they told us August 1st, and then yesterday we were told July 1st. HR was at the office today, and I had just finished my individual meeting when Emily called to say Wyatt was sick. Wow, I am feeling tested........

I am headed to bed with a sore throat of all things, not sure how long I will get to rest because I actually hear Wyatt on the monitor. I hope he can get some rest tonight. We have our appointment in Oklahoma City on Thursday with the pediatric neuro opthomologist. I will update everyone on that appointment later in the week.

Another request for special prayers for this family. Thank you..........

Fundraiser/ Garage Sale for Baby Hospital # 3

To my family and friends who have continued to follow our story, I have a request to make. We will be having a garage sale in August with all proceeds benefiting the orphanage that Wyatt and Anastiya came from! Our friends the Costello's ( Anastiya's parents) are the ones who came up with the idea, and asked if we wanted to participate. Not only do we want to participate we want to raise the most money, show them Oklahoma does it right. Of course there are no losers because it all goes to the children, and making a small difference at the place that Wyatt called home for the first year of his life. The Costello's were one of the families that we were with in Russia, and traveled a very emotional journey with them. We were so glad to be able to share the journey with them. If you have not gone to their blog site you really should, it is linked from mine and is titled Oh the places we will go, once you are on the site then you need to scroll down to the bottom, see where she says continue the journey, scroll down to the bottom and click a 3rd time to get to the current postings. It takes a minute to get there, but well worth the read once you are there! Katie takes the most amazing pictures, and tells the most amazing stories and from time to time will even tell you stuff about Wyatt that I do not mention on my site.

With all that being said here is what I need. I need items to sell, so if you live locally, or in Brownwood, or in Lubbock and have stuff to donate let me know. I will be going to Lubbock in July, and can bring it back. My brother and sister in law will be coming to Tulsa in late July, and can bring items from that location( thanks Stephanie & Don). Also, I could use some volunteers to help price, and the weekend of the sale volunteers to manage the sale. The sale is scheduled for the first part of August.

Anyone who has known me long knows that when I was 11 years old I opened my first store it was called Lisa's Furniture, Appliances, and Clothing. When we were cleaning out my grandparents house a couple of years ago we found a picture, of a SKINNY 11 year old girl standing in front of her store, with the professional sign in the background. Also, many of you know that I love to have garage sales, something about the wheeling and dealing that just makes me HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY. So I could not think of a better challenge to accept when Katie Costello asked me to get on board with the project. This event may just end up being bigger than me or what I could have ever imagined.

If you can help with items, your time pricing, or your talents on sale day PLEASE let me know. Thank you for continuing to follow our journey, and thank you for your prayers, and thank you for being such great family, and friends.

I guess I would have thought you all would be tired of the Meacham's story by now, but who knows maybe someday we will have Justin and Lisa plus seven. So you each may need to stick around for years to come, and see the plan that God has for us! We serve an awesome God...
