It snowed a lot this weekend

We woke up to a wet Saturday morning and by 9:00 am it was snowing! Who would have thought that on March 28th we would have received so much snow. We set new records... I had to work on Saturday so my boys stayed in and played, after nap we bundled up and went out for some time in the snow. Justin says I over dressed Wyatt, if you can see in the picture of him laying in the snow I have Wal Mart bags over his shoes, we recycle in this house. He layed himself back in the snow, he was a snow angel! Then we went for a wagon ride instead of a sleigh ride, and Justin even took Wyatt down the hill on a sleigh. We met our friends the Owen's down at the hill , and that was a picture of the triplets ( Kennedy, Ike, and Madison with their Dad). We really enjoyed the afternoon, it was much different than the morning.
I guess Wyatt had a full on 2 year tantrum, scratched his face, was kicking his legs, and basically scared the Cxxp out of his dad, I mean really SCARED him. If your child has every had a full on temper tantrum would you share in this post? Because Wyatt has been so easy, this really caught Justin off guard. When I called the house around noon, Justin said Wyatt had just had a seizure?!?!?!? After discussing this more with Justin I have decided that it was a tantrum, and that something upset Wyatt and he was not able to communicate what that something was. He was fine after nap yesterday, and had a good day today. He is battling either a cold, or allergies which I have decided occurs pretty regularly in our home. We met with an audiologist on Friday per our Dr's referral because Wyatt has fluid in his ears 80% of the time they are checked. Sooner Starts checks them for us in our home, and then at our 2 year well check last week Dr. Raley checked them and said fluids. Then Sooner Start checked them on Thursday fluids present, then Friday at the ENT clinic, he had fluid in one ear.We see the ENT doctor on April 8th! Fluids as you know can cause a series of problems most importantly language development, and discomfort. We noticed he covers his ears a lot, and the Audiologist said if he has fluids a lot, then when his ears are clear the nose level is uncomfortable for him. Possible solution is tubes! I am okay if they suggest this, I only wish we could have caught this last month when we had him sedated for the other surgery.
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, and that the work week is good to you! Take time to tell a co worker, stranger, friend, or family member how much you appreciate them, and the job they do!

Hmmmm puzzling. I've seen Breck throw a few and I just spray him with water, not sure about a 2 year old! :)

I wish I had something to offer. You all are doing great with Wyatt and I'm sure you'll figure it all out. Do you think that temper comes from your side or Justin's side. I know in my house all of those not so pleasant traits the boys have, they got those from Breck's side.....:)

Love you tons and we need to do catch up, I'm missing you!
Love,
Julie

Karter had a HUGE temper tantrum today because she wanted to go outside and play and I told her she had to eat lunch first!!! She scratched her chin and it started to bleed, but when I tried to clean it - well, it just made matters worse...
I'm sure that won't be his only temper tantrum... you just have to learn how to handle them when it happens - and figure out what to do to keep them from hurting themselves... Fun times with a 2 year old!!! :)

Love you guys!

Mr. Wyatt is at that wonderful age where he knows what he wants, he just doesn't know how to communicate it yet. Andrew is four and still throws wonderful temper tantrums. Especially when he is sick, tired or just feeling "blah', I try to think how I feel when I am blah, and I don't feel good, I am in a bad mood (and throw the occasional temper tantrum :)), but I know how to vocalize it. Don't worry, you guys are doing an amazing job. Just the joy having toddlers. Hang in there with the tests and visits...I will be praying!

Temper tantrums seem to be normal with many two year olds. My middle nephew used to throw tantrums and we would walk away and ignore him until it was over, of course, we watched enough to make sure he didn't hurt himself! You'll find what works with trial and error.
Love the snow pics.....it's been in the upper 70's here with no prospect of rain in the near future. Fire season is now year long.
Love to you all,
Auntie
