Prayer Request
On Tuesday Wyatt will have a circumcision done at St Francis Children's Hospital. This has been a hard discussion to have in our home. As parents we have not completely agreed on how to handle this, one of us was all for it, and the other one was not. Now, let me say that the reason one was not for it was because of the pain that we know he will have to go through. Since this is an elective surgery, it was difficult to make the decision to put him through the pain and discomfort. It did not help that our Urologist said it would look as if it had been gnawed on the next 10 days, and at pre op we were told he would wake up from the sedation, and be mad at the world for the rest of the day! In the long run this will be a good decision, but for this next week it will stink skunks......
Please pray for no complications during surgery, and a minimum amount of discomfort during recovery. Also, pray for a speedy recovery!
I also learned that moms and dads do not always see eye to eye on the way to handle their children. I want to respect and honor Justin because we all play for the same TEAM. I am looking into the future and think about when Justin wants to get Wyatt in to the midget sprint car, which he wants to do when Wyatt is 5, and if I can not get comfortable with this hobby I want him to respect me and my decisions. You see I am learning this is give and take.......
I will update with a surgery time Monday evening, we have to call tomorrow and get the time. They do surgeries youngest to oldest so they will not know until Monday how many surgeries are scheduled for Tuesday at the hospital.

We will be praying for sweet Wyatt....we had so much fun with him today. He is ALL boy....I think he had fun with us too....up until the busted lip part....which I might add only made him mad, because I made him stop playing to wipe the blood....the lip didn't bother him a bit! He is a tough kid! YOu have to give me tips on how to make Grey tought...I don't want him to be a girly boy!
We will be praying....
And, I totally understand about the respect thing when you disagree. It's hard...Greg loves four wheelers and dirt bikes and the boys love them too. But, I am very uncomfortable with the idea of young children having an active hobby in a dangerous sport like that. Even when they ride with Daddy on the four wheeler, Greg knows that it makes me nervous, so he goes really slow. I just totally relate to your post because I told Greg that I want him to respect my wishes, and I know he wants me to respect his....
So, good job!
We will keep Wyatt in our prayers Tuesday.
Be sure to tell Wyatt that his cousin Aiden was asking about him today. He loves to look at the pictures and video we have of Wyatt and we did that before he had to go home.
Big hugs to all, Auntie
Oh, we prayed tonight and will continue to pray! You all make a great team! You know Breck says I have the ability to purge unpleasant things but I really do not remember it being that bad. Yes the first day was bad but that's because of all the driving and I got a little freaked by the amount of blood. The good thing for you is everything is happening in town! He's going to do great! Please know that we will pray for no complications and quick healing!
Love you,
Julie
parents definately don't always agree on how to handle their children!! wishing wyatt a successful surgery.
We'll be praying for Wyatt ~ and his parents. Thomas had a circumcision done when he was born but it was not done correctly. When he was 2 1/2 he had another condition called a hydrocele (nothing to do with the circumcision) and needed to have it repaired. So we decided that since he would already be under to to ahead and repair the circumcision. I'm sooo glad we did! He did wake up mad and disoriented but after about an hour he was back to normal. The only time he acted like it hurt was when he went tee tee. I think that might have burned or stung a little bit.
Hope all goes well!
