We thought we would post these for a quick fix for all you bloggers. Lisa is currently feeding Wyatt at the moment so you are getting second string for now. I am sure you will get another update before the night is over.
First off Wyatt is doing fine, much better then I thought he would be (or than I would be) after a procedure like this.
The picture with Lisa is pre op just after the meds started kicking in. The gown was about three sizes to big and every time he moved in it his arm would come out and you have to find the right hole to put it back in.
The picture with me is post op, Wyatt just waking up. He was good for the most part, but got more upset the longer we stayed there. The nurse thought he might be in pain so we gave him something for it. Turned out that he was just hungry, as we found out in the car when he started eating Cheerios as fast as Lisa would give them to him.
When we got home Wyatt finally got to eat his first meal of the day. After lunch he was running around almost as if nothing had happened. Lisa kept letting him get away with stuff that he could never get away with on any other day. She said it was his "Special Day". I thought about that for a second and responded with there is nothing "Special" about today. In fact today would rank pretty high on the top ten worst days of his life.
The other pictures are of Wyatt on the floor playing with the trash can liner that just happened to be out because it was trash day. This is one of the big "No No's" in moms world. He was loving it, climbing in and out and riding it like a horse (which you would think would really hurt), and pushing it about the kitchen.
So that is all from me, like I said Lisa will edit or add to this post. Thank you for all your prayers.

Leave it to a child to go against everything they prepare you for on their "not so special day"! Glad to know all went well.
Love you all,
Auntie
Like I said...Wyatt is one tough boy.....it does seem like that would hurt...but I guess not! Yeah Wyatt!!! Sorry you had to have a "Special Day".....
I love how you called it his "special day"... too funny!
And, just for the record, I like having the daddy post every once in awhile....I am going to see if the daddy in our house will write sometime!
I mean, I love Lisa's writing, but it was funny to see things from Justin's point of view...you know what I mean :)
Great post Justin! Love the pictures and so grateful to hear he did so well! We will continue to pray for Wyatt to heal quickly and no complications!
Love you all,
Julie
glad everything went well. you would think straddling something on his special day would cause pain. ? maybe the diapers helped matters. :)
Thanks for the update and pictures Justin...I agree with Laura...it's nice to hear your point of view also. I'm so glad everything went so well...kids are so tough!
