Wyatt flys on Southwest..

It was another good week in Lubbock, and I am still really enjoying my work. Wyatt had a good week, but for awhile has been covering his ears, sticking his fingers in his ears, sucking on his fingers more than usual, and then late in the week started to get fussy. I thought he was teething....... On Friday we flew home and he loved the plane ride. Mostly, the take off and landings!!! We had a layover in Dallas and he had McDonald's for the first time, chicken nuggets, and french fries. He must be a little spoiled about the nuggets he eats because he did not seem to really like those. On Saturday I emailed my doctor about what he was doing with his ears, and he said to come in. Wyatt has an ear infection! I am guessing all the drainage he had a couple of weeks ago caused this. This will be a fun 10 days of antibiotics, he is not a medicine child.

We will be heading back to Lubbock this evening, and Wyatt starts daycare tomorrow. Please pray this is a good experience for Wyatt. I know we will have some days of adjustments ahead of us, but I have made it clear that if he is not ready for daycare that is a deal breaker for this entire situation we are in, and I will quit my job and stay home. If you are wondering why don't I just do that? The answer is we are not in a position to do that, but we are currently making some changes that will make that a possibility should I need to or want to. We are making some hard decisions right now that will put us in a position in two years to be living a very different life. Oh, how babies make your priorities change! In two years I want to be working because I want to, not because I have to. Again, if daycare is not a good experience we will stop, make more drastic changes, and I will happily stay home.

Last update is that one of the adoptive families left yesterday for Russia, and is hand delivering the $4400.00 we raised at our garage sales. The orphanage will be getting new windows before this winter. Many people that I have talked to that have been to Russia on a missions trip, or an adoption trip says that windows are always a concern. They are drafty, and it is cold around the windows. The reason I do not remember is because we were on the 3rd floor, and had only one window in the sitting room where we were each day, and it was high towards the ceiling.

poor Wyatt. i can't believe his ears didn't bother him when flying, lucky you. I don't know whether to pray that he does well in daycare or hates it. hmmm, a hard one. Well, miss you. Clara wanted to see Wyatt in church this morning but I had to tell her that you weren't there. Guess she needs a Wyatt fix. Love you guys. Have a good week.

I will pray for you...I know it is such a hard decision. And people can say things that are hard. Just pray and listen to what God is telling you, as you know, he will work it out. Stinky!! I hate ear infections....Will pray for Wyatt too.....miss you all a ton!

We will be praying for you and all that you have ahead of you. Wyatt is a real trooper and still adorable! I'm kind of with Rebecca on the whole daycare praying! :) But I guess if you're trusting God with everything I should too. Praying and believing that God has your best interests in mind.
Love you all,
Julie and her boys

If this is the path you are meant to be following it will all work out for you.
Poor Wyatt, my ears have been draining this past week and it is not fun. Give him a big hug for me.
Our little guy came home last Thursday after four weeks in the NICU. His parents are nervous but doing fine! Today I got to hold him and feed him with lots of kisses and hugs.....yum!
We love you,
Auntie Laurie
