We arrived in Tulsa, FINALLY.....

Well it is 2:45 am on Saturday night/ Sunday morning and I can not sleep. We were scheduled to arrive Tulsa at 5:30 pm tonight, but guess what after the journey around the world we missed our connector in Chicago by 2 minutes, Yes 2 minutes and the plane was still at the gate. There was freezing rain in Germany, so we sat on the runway for 1.5 hours before leaving on our way to Chicago. Once in Chicago we still had a chance, but our bag was the last one off the flight. I thought to myself we still have a chance so we ran, and ran, and ran to get to our gate after passing through Passport Immigration, and Customs. The agents said sorry, not bothered by it at all. So what do you think I did? Stood there and cried, after traveling for 2 days and we missed our last connection!?!?!?!?So that left us waiting 5 hours for the next flight! We finally arrived Tulsa at 11:00 pm, and my brother, sister-in-law, and nephews were at the airport to pick us up, that was a nice gift. We came home and had Christmas together, and watched the home video for the first of what I am sure will be many times.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and looking forward to ringing in the New Year.

Happy New Year, and many blessings to each of you in 2008!

Lisa

Welcome Home! So Looking forward to the home movie, we'll bring the snacks!:) I felt so badly for you missing your last connection, they the infamous "they" should have not let that happen. Better in Chicago than Moscow at least you could understand all of the announcements and talk to more people! So glad you're back safely with lots to tell!See you soon. Love to you 3,
Rykers

I was so worried you'd miss your flight in Chicago, but by two minutes!? Scrooge is alive and well.

Just think, by the time you bring Wyatt home, you will be celebrating his first birthday...how exciting!
By the by, what is his birthdate?

I'm hoping your technologically brilliant friend can put your video on-line, at the appropriate time, so those of us who live thousands miles away can see it too.

Happy New Year!

Love,

Aunt Laurie and Uncle Craig

Well, finally got to a computer that I can respond with. Ours is so messed up, can see your message but not the secret code to type in. So glad you are home safe and sound. Merry Christmas!! and what a happy new year you will have in just a few short weeks! What a blessing that God gave you an angel mother in Irina to watch over Wyatt while you are not there with him. Can't wait to see you. Love you bunches, Rebecca

Hi new "forever friends!" So sorry to hear about your trip home. :o( We wish you could have stayed in Moscow with us (Natasha and Dimitri from AAi escorted us)Friday night. It was late but we walked around the Red Square, St. Basil's Cathedral, and the Kremlin. We ate hot chocolate(not drank, it was too thick) by the ice skating rink in the Red Square. We got stuck in the traffic jam around the Kremlin as President Putin lit the sky with an amazing fireworks display; we assume due to his "Person of the Year" award in Time Magazine. It was nice to focus on something else for a little while.

We have shown our video to family and a few friends; everyone has said that baby Wyatt is just beautiful! We agree! We are sending lots of prayers from Texas for 'lil Wyatt Andrey! Keep us posted on plans for your second trip and hopefully we will be at the Vlad Inn together!

Love,
Soon to be Mommy and Daddy to Natalie and Gavin . . . Melissa & Sam Nechamkin
