Still talking about Tech vs OU even in Russia....

We have met some amazing people on this trip, and tonight we had dinner with Dr. Sam and his wife Melissa. Dr. Sam is a Peridontist in Sherman Texas, and they are adopting two kids. But, I found out that he is a big OU fan and he and I had to discuss the November match up in Lubbock. I told him I wanted to name our son Raider, but that Justin said No that we could name our next dog Raider, after Texas Tech Red Raiders! They loved the name, and I am thinking this may be a nickname for Wyatt....

About my precious Wyatt, I had to say Good Bye today for this trip and it was so hard!!!!! He was a little fussy today, but he is teething. Besides you should see what they feed him. I got to feed him lunch, and it was a glass bottle, with pureed potatoes, and beef. The nipple on this bottle was HUGE, fast fed I think is their philosophy. We learned today that Wyatt does not like the noon meals, and they have never forced him to eat or prepared something different. He is so little, and today our translator, Irina was upset to learn this and said she would call the Dr at the baby hospital tomorrow and get an order for cereal/rice because he does eat that really well. Many times after we left today she just talked about how poor the nutrition is. She says you know they bath him, they change him, they keep him clean, but they do not feed him properly or interact with him properly. So I am sad about this... We initially talked about not changing his diet until we get him back to the states but because of learning this, I have decided to contact our pediatrician, and my friend Amy who is a dietician and discuss what formula to have him on. Irina thought this was a great idea and told me to bring the formula back and would start him on it upon my return because unless I can get a medical waiver for Wyatt we will have to stay in country 3.5 weeks on our 2nd trip.

We start traveling back tomorrow, Friday and will leave Vlad at 1:30 pm for Moscow, and then catch a flight to Germany. We will spend the night in Germany, and head for Tulsa via Chicago on Saturday. We are scheduled back to Tulsa at 5:30 pm on Saturday. They are expecting a snow storm/ blizzard tomorrow that will shut the city down for several days. We are hoping to be ahead of the storm!

I will not post for a couple of days because of our travel schedule, so stay tuned for an update Sunday or Monday. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thanks again for all your prayers, and comments. Justin and I have enjoyed reading them, and several made me cry. I know it seems I have cried a lot, and I have, but we have been reminded of how truly blessed we are to have such great family, and friends.

Blessings to each of you...

Lisa

I know that the next few weeks will be very hard but you will be busy preparing for him to come home and it will past by fast. I hope that you can get a medical release because I'm not sure work will survive that long without you. I can't wait to see pictures and the movie. I pray for a safe trip home with no delays. Whose going to a BCS Bowl? Enough said. See you soon. Samantha

We can only imagine how hard it must have been for new parents to leave their son. We have said many prayers and will continue to do so! 5 weeks seems like a long time, but hopefully that will give the time to be as prepared as you both can (if that is possible). Travel safe. God speed!
We love you 3!

Awesome! Everything just sounds so good, finding out about the noon meal, having Irina look into that, possible having the opportunity to get a medical waiver so you wouldn't have to be in country a long time, even to meeting and having dinner with some Americans. God is GOOD! We will pray for safe travels and no delays! Love to you3,
Rykers

This has been such an emotional and amazing trip for you guys! I know it will be hard waiting until you can go back but it sounds as if Irina will be a good advocate for little Wyatt.
Have a safe trip home.

We love you,

Do Guardian Angels have wings? Sounds like you might be able to answer that question by looking at Irina's back. All of you are in my prayers. Travel safely.

Love you,
Uncle Wayne
