The week is flying by...

So many things to do, and so little time. We are still waiting to get our passports and visas back from the Embassy ( Washington, D.C ) hopefully, we will get them tomorrow or Thursday. I am trying to wrap Christmas presents, pack suitcases and just reflect on our life now, and all the ways it is fixin' to change. Okay, at least that is what everyone tells me. For those who know me well you know I am an organized type A, my mom told me the other day she could not wait to see how motherhood was going to change me. I am a planner, and get disappointed when plans change. My mom says that kids will make you realize plans are made to be changed........

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Lisa

Love and good humor will serve you well as a parent. Oh, and don't forget my favorite, flexibility!

All of the ladies in Room 16, Santa Ynez School, wish you well on your trip.

Lots of love,
Aunt Laurie and Uncle Craig

Amen to your mother - she is right on the money! And Lisa, just know, we were all new moms once...you are gonna mess up, things will go wrong, and everything will still be ok. You will be over-protective, watching every move, sterilizing everything, etc.... yeah, I know, been there, done that. All you can do is try your best, stay calm and try not to get frustrated (babies sense that) and just relax, enjoy this baby and Justin and your new family....soak in everything, the smell, the sounds, etc. You can read every book and learn all the things you want, but it is experience that makes you a good parent. You will do just fine! No worries!

Girl, it was a panic for me waiting for the return of our passports and visas but they came in right on time! No worries! I'm sorry I missed your call today. I'll try and catch up with you tomorrow. Breck and the boys are there if you need them for anything. It will not be long before you get to hold your little guy! If you need a ride to the airport the boys would love to accomodate! You all continue to be in our prayers! Love to you 3,
The Rykers

So happy for you! You will so enjoy watching your little one grow up! I have two friends that have adopted girls from Russia, they are beautiful.
Best of luck in Russia, stay warm!

Hi Lisa,

I'm so excited to hear about your new little addition!!! You are going to be an awesome mom! Trey did a mission trip in Russia at one of the orphanages and it was life changing. We look forward to hearing all about this new journey! God Bless you!
