Our week of First's
We had alot of first's going on this week, and we enjoyed most of them.
We had a first visit with the pediatric eye doctor, and with the pediatrician. We had our first meal in a restaurant with our friend Samantha Blue, and we had our first American haircut. He did so good at lunch, I did not realize that crackers were a fix all for everything, he enjoyed one after another. Also, he did so good getting his haircut. Those pictures will be posted this weekend so watch for them!
We learned at the pediatric eye doctor that Wyatt has some issues with his optic nerve. We will have an MRI on Monday, April 28th until then we will continue to pray for God's healing with Wyatt, and that Wyatt may see God's beautiful creations. I pray that he can clearly see the flowers, the trees, and the sun. Our pediatrician says that Wyatt looks good, and he gained 500 grams since we left the orphanage ( about 1/2 lb). We will continue to go see Dr. Raley monthly for a while, and we have decided to redo all of his immunization shots, poor Wyatt. Dr. Raley just thinks that you can never be certain about the administration of shots from a foreign country or someone from an orphanage. He does not want Wyatt to be a college student traveling through Europe, or Hong Kong and pick up some childhood illness!
Please continue your prayers for Wyatt, he needs them now more than ever!
Have a great weekend...

We will definitely be praying for all three of you... especially Wyatt! Karter had fun playing with Wyatt Tuesday evening. He's such a sweet little boy. We'll have to get together again soon to play again. We hope to see you tomorrow at the circus play day! We love you all!
Wyatt is in our hearts and in our prayers daily. He is a very lucky little guy to have two parents who are as caring and loving as you. Looking forward to seeing new pictures.
Love,
Aunt Laurie and Uncle Craig
Yeah Wyatt....so glad to see he is gaining weight! And yes - crackers fix most everything...except for the tip you have to leave the waiter for cleaning up a giant mess......We will keep Wyatt's eyes in our prayers....let us know how it goes...Don't you love Dr. Raley...If it helps.....shots never hurt Ragon...she cried for a few minutes...and then would sleep all day!!! Yeah - break for mom! Love you all - can't wait to see your big man!!! Francy's
I sure enjoyed getting to meet Wyatt face to face...I feel like I'd known him for a long time. He's such a fine looking boy, and seeing how you and Justin interact with him, it's easy to see two great parents, and a home full of love! He's a lucky little guy, and so are the two of you. All of you will stay in my prayers.
Uncle Wayne
You are in my prayers. I pray that Wyatt's vision will be strong and will get to see all of God's creatures. I am thankful that he is repeating his vaccines. That is a good thing. I have a friend who's child was sick all the time and they did titers on all her immunizations and found one was not high enough. That vaccine was repeated and she is doing so much better. You just never know. Good luck and just give him Motrin or Tylenol. I think it hurts mom and dad the most. Love you, Tawnya
Lisa...you have lots of people in Ohio praying and sending positive energy to you, Justin AND Wyatt. We love you guys-all will work out!

He is a very lucky and special little boy brought into your lives for a reason, no matter what the doctors tell you! Rememeber your faith and that all is in HIS plan!!! We love you guys and are here for you anytime!

Has grandpa & grandma arrived?
I can't tell you how much we have enjoyed following you on the blog. Sounds like your settling in nicely at your home.
I can remember things I did with my kids; like you with the runaway baby stroller. These are things you don't forget & talk about years from now.
Will keep checking the blog.

Hi Lisa, I started reading about your trip from Katie and Sam. We adopted our daugther from Russia in 2005 and immediately began seeing a pediatric eye dr for a nerve issue. We have been through surgery, patching and glasses and she is doing great now! Please feel free to email me if you have any questions. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Yes, Lisa, I do know Tim Kizziar. He grew up in Spearman. He was a great kid! I have not seen him since he graduated.
