The Rain has parted, and the Sun did shine...

Well as one of my girlfriends said in the comment section of the last post we need the sun to shine it is good for our soul. I would agree with that..... We had 12 straights days in Oklahoma of rain, and no sunshine. About Wednesday we got a little break, and yesterday was a sunny day, and just what I needed to get back on track. Talking it through was exactly what I needed! I took dinner to a girlfriend of mine Wednesday night, they had their 3 child a couple of weeks ago, and it was my night to take dinner. After my brief conversation with her, and her reminding me that progress for Wyatt is still great progress. (Unless your child has ever been part of a parents as teachers program, or state educational program you would not really understand that comment.) But, there is so much truth to that progress is progress and we will get there. Wyatt has to fight for things that most kids, and their parents take for granted! It has really made me a better mother, better person, better friend because of the things we have had to endure as a family. She reminded me that I see hope for us, but am just tired from the day to day tasks of keeping us in a progressive pattern. Amen to that...... we see LOTS, and LOTS of health care professionals. We have our parents as teachers educator, we have our sooner start case manager, sooner start OT, our pediatrician, our eye doctor, our endocrinologist, we will be adding ST and OT with an independent company next month, ENT, the recent surgeries that require follow up appointments, and the list could go on and on........ All of this while still trying to be a good, productive employee! Wow, I just got tired again, but am feeling like this is all manageable and I can do this. I am thankful that I feel safe enough to share my challenges here, and know that I have the best group of friends, and support system that will always pull me back up and not let me stay down. It does not hurt either that I am going on a spa retreat tonight with my dinner club friends. We have rented out a local spa, they are serving us dinner at 5:00 and then we will spend the next several hours enjoying the spa treatment we signed up for. For me that means a facial, and a 1 hour massage! I can not wait until 5:00pm..........
