Dr's Appointment

We had to make another unplanned trip to the doctor because Wyatt has just not been himself for a couple of weeks now, and Friday noon was the last good meal he ate. I was on a girls trip this weekend, and Justin had Daddy duty and Wyatt threw up for the first time on Saturday. Now, if you remember back to one of the first posts I mentioned that if Justin did diapers, I would clean throw up..... According to Justin it was all over the both of them, and Wyatt got a bath out of the deal, and Justin got a clean outfit.Well, if you are in another state it is hard to fulfill the obligations, and Justin handled it beautifully! What is hard to understand is that Wyatt has slept good about every 3rd night, and he plays during the day. When he did not eat I told Justin he is teething, when again he would not eat I told Justin maybe he is at the stage that unless he can feed himself he will not eat it. I made his favorite finger foods!!! So, finally today I said enough and took him to the doctor because I had run out of ideas to label him with... Guess What? Another ear infection who would have guessed. We have not seen him pulling on his ears, he has done lots of different things the past two weeks, but that was not one of them. He has woke up crying as if acute pain was somewhere, and it takes an hour for him to settle down. As long as you are holding him he is good, lay him down before he is ready and your time starts all over. This has happened about 1/3 of the nights the past two weeks! First, I thought it was him having nightmares. Our Dr today thinks maybe we have reflux! So in addition to the medicine for an ear infection we get to give medicine for reflux, Dr. Raley said it will not be a problem just sprinkle it on his food. I said I guess we will start that when he starts eating again!?!?!?!? He told me not to worry that he had never seen a child starve himself to death. As long as we have wet diapers we are good! We did weigh 19lbs 1 oz today, and increase of 4 ozs since September 12th. Justin did say he wishes Wyatt came with an operators manual so that he could tell us what was wrong. He compared Wyatt to the dogs, and said neither of them could tell us where they hurt, or feel bad!

Other than the ear infection all is well in the Meacham household! We booked our flights for California we will be with Justin's family for Thanksgiving. I am a little worried that their traditions might include couse couse, and taboli?!?!?!?!?

Have a great week...

So sorry....owners manuals would be nice. We should all look into that! Also - just a tip, on Dr. Raley's website it says toddlers start waking around 18 months I think in the middle of the night. True to form - Ragon started doing the same thing....lets just say it has been fun!!!!

Ouch, my sympathies to Wyatt! I'm fighting an ear infection too. Yuck!

Dudes, just a side note on the Thanksgiving traditions in California...wild greens, brown rice, cracked wheat, if you're lucky there will be meat from a recent road kill (do you like skunk?) and Thunderbird wine! Be sure to wear your best tie dyed T-shirts and Birkenstock sandals.
Can't wait to see ya!

Peace & Love,
Auntie
