Our stay in Russia

Several of you have asked why are we having to stay in country over three weeks? The answer is because we now have a mandatory 10 day wait imposed by the judge after court. On the 11th day they will have a courier travel to Moscow with our documents and get Wyatt's passport, his visa into the USA, along with his adoption decree, and birth certificate.

Every region in Russia is different, and this happens to be a requirement of this region. I also learned some interesting facts about how our own government plays a role in international adoptions. It will be a topic that I will really begin to research at a later date. Also, Irina tells me that she believes that adoptions between USA and Russia will not ever come to an end, and that she does not expect that it will get much harder. She says this is the hardest she has ever seen it.
