Meeting Wyatt again...

Well we met Wyatt, again. It was like meeting him all over again, he did not really seem to remember us. We had a good day with him, and he played with several of the toys I brought with us from home. He can really crawl, that was a change since the last trip. Also, he loves to dance and move his head from side to side, and babble. He is a good little dancer! We fed him lunch today out of a regular soup bowl, Justin was holding him because he is not big enough for their type of high chair, and I was feeding him with a spoon larger than we would use to feed ourselves. It was potatoes, ground beef, with a little carrots. They thought I was not feeding him fast enough so they came and fed him! Literally, one scoop then another, and another with no rest in between. He was gagging, and is eyes were running but that did not slow them down! They followed it up with a regular cup of tea, the cup did not even have a lid just a regular cup. I am glad I will not have to sit through that torture again and that Wyatt will only have to sit through it for breakfast today then he is all ours.

Also, they have the baby hospital/ orphanage quartined because 2 of the children have chicken pox. They told us to get ready because there is a good chance that Wyatt will get the chickenpox, also.

We are headed to court in exactly 4 hours, so at 6:30 your time please be thinking about us, and praying for us. Pray for an easy time at court, and pray that we will be able to easily answer the judges questions. Justin will do most of the speaking, that is the tradition in Russia. I will only be asked to speak if he is unable to answer all of the question, and I will be asked to speak about my employement and our plans for childcare. We should do okay because they prepped us yesterday on what would be asked. We have to be able to tell the judge about Wyatt's family here in Russia, his medical history ( using the big medical words), and why we are choosing Russia, why we decided to adopt to begin with, and the many other things I can not remember at the moment. After, we finish at court it is straight to the orphanage to pick up a naked baby. That is what Irina told us they will hand him to us naked because he owns nothing, and we have to have his clothes with us.

Okay, we know our lives are fixing to change forever. Today, is the first day of the rest of my families life!

My eyes are filled with tears of joy! What a blessing that today is! The "naked" baby that will be handed to you, is how all Mothers (and Daddys) are greeted with THEIR own babies...even when they are born in your hearts! My prayers are with all three of you. And "Aunt Kay-Kay" can't wait to love on him. So please, give him an extra smooch and hug from me and just TRULY know that Wyatt couldn't have asked for a more precious Momma & Daddy! Lots of Love & Prayers,
Cara aka Aunt Kay-Kay :)

I am so confused with the different time zones I will just continue to pray no matter what the time! It is wonderful to know that Wyatt will be starting a wonderful new life soon with two great parents and lots and lots of family and extended family. Love to you all,

I meant to say in my last post that I have been praying for Bailey and Joanie also... Please let me know if you need me to do anything for them. We can pick them up and take them to a park or something like that. And yes, we can handle Joanie... she is just like Bella!

Love,
Lucila

Reading about your feeding Wyatt was awful. They sure don't care about the babies; just a job & get it over with. Mt heart goes out to you & I pray the next note I read you have Wyatt & can give him the love & kindness he deserves to be getting.

Well, it is 5:51 my time, so I think it is 6:30 in Oklahoma. I just happened to be home and got on to read your new blog. It wasn't by chance, and I just said a prayer as I was reading it. I can't imagine what that was like with the feeding. Just know that you will have every meal from here on out for Wyatt to take as much time as he needs. I love what Cara said about all babies come to their Mommy's and Daddy's arms naked for the first time...this is no exception, remember that! I am so excited for you and Justin and the adventure you are about to begin! Keep up the blogs! We are all checking every day!
Love and Prayers

Sorry I didn't have time to comment earlier had to get the boys down to Okmulgee but Jared, Griff and I prayed for you all in the car on our way. I guess it's about 1 in the afternoon in Vlad now so hopefully you're done with court and have gotten Wyatt. Can't wait to read your next post about court and how Wyatt is adjusting to his new surroundings. Breck added the link to Vlad Inn, so glad to see your staying at the "Oasis" to Far East Russia. Not sure about the truth in advertising. Remember there are lots of adjustments when you first bring your baby home or in this case to the "Oasis". When we first brought Jared home he cried and cried then someone told us to take him outside and it was amazing it had a calming affect. Griff loved being outside too, so if Wyatt cries and nothing seems to calm him if it's not too cold you might try taking him outside. Not saying it will definitely work but something to try. It did work for both my boys. There is always that get acquainted stage in any new relationship so know we will be praying gor you with all of the adjustments all of you will be making. Love you all and thrilled for you,
Rykers

Is it not amazing how many people were reading your blog around 6:30? I know that there were a lot of people praying for you while you were in court. I'm sure glad that part is over. I can't wait to hear how your 1st day went.

Now it is time to fatten him up.
I hope that you & Justin have had chicken pox. We will pray that Wyatt will not get them.
I hope that the rest of your trip is uneventful. I think through this process you have had enough stress.
Love ya, Samantha

Dear Lord,
I pray that you keep your arms of protection around this family today and keep them safe. Thank you so much for answering the prayers of Justin and Lisa by blessing them with a precious baby boy. I pray also for all of the little friends that Wyatt is leaving behind and keep your arms of protection around them. You are an awesome God! Amen

Love,
Sabra
